The World is a Book

… and those who do not travel read only one page.”

A young girl curled up under the blankets with her purloined stash of tattered National Geographic magazines…Escaping the reality of her life on frigid winter nights in a small rural Wisconsin one stop town.

Creating a spark and then a burning flame of wanderlust (n.) that strong desire for or impulse to wander, to travel and see the world grew into a raging fire…the yearning to see all the surprising, bewildering, breathtaking, and perplexing nooks and crannies of this big and beautiful world, has never abated …

Threads of Thought

A Million Feelings. A Thousand Thoughts. A Hundred Memories. One Person

“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience”

Often when you think you’re at the end of something, you’re at the beginning of something else. ~Fred Rogers

My life is shaped by the urgent need to wander and observe, and my camera is my passport. ~Steve Curry

Renée was born with wanderlust flowing through her veins. A passion to explore the world was kindled with her stacks of National Geographic magazines that she read voraciously during the frigid winter nights in Wisconsin, USA.

Living in Indiana, Kentucky, Texas, New York State, Alaska moving more times that she can keep track of…the soul of an adventurer. She has also lived in Thailand, traveling to Canada, Colombia, and Venezuela…currently based in South Africa, living, and loving with her husband in the Eastern Cape with their rescue dog, Bacchus.

Her mission has always been to share the incredible magic of this breathtaking world…with her words and photographs.

“Life is like a camera. Focus on what’s important. Capture the good times. And if things don’t work out, just take another shot.” ~Ziad K. Abdelnour
