On a recent morning by the sea, peace came quiety as I watched the light arrive slowly. The pier reached out into the water, the clouds shifted, and for a little while I had nowhere else I needed to be.
Soon Patrick and I will leave for Brazil and then the United States to be with family. I’m looking forward to familiar faces, shared meals, and time together. Amid the packing and preparations, I want to remember that I can pause and receive those moments as they come.
A Little Light for the Journey
The morning does not hurry
to lift the dark away.
It touches sea and shoreline,
then quietly becomes the day.
May I travel in that spirit—
with an open heart and eyes,
noticing the love beside me
and the beauty that survives.
I may be quieter here while we’re away. When we return at the end of November, I hope to share some of the photographs, stories, and small discoveries the journey brings.
Until then, may this be a peaceful, loving place to rest whenever you need one.
With love,
Renée❣️
